Retrospective cases test whether the Ledger method would have separated a catalyst narrative from its later commercial evidence.

Retrospective—not prospective research

These cases are constructed after relevant outcomes were already observable. They are method calibration, not contemporaneous forecasts, and they must not be interpreted as evidence of live predictive performance.

No historical case enters the prospective Outcome Ledger. Only theses with a time-stamped, forward-locked question, catalyst set and measurement standard can contribute to that record.

The empty state is deliberate: a case is not published until its evidence trail, hindsight boundary and revision history can be audited.
